Justin Wall
Barrister
Justin is a thoughtful lawyer, who brings a blend of experience and knowledge to his practice as a defence barrister.
Justin was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2009. Prior to becoming a defence lawyer in 2018, he worked as a High Court judges’ clerk, a junior to a Queen’s Counsel, and as a Crown prosecutor. He has appeared at all levels of the court system, including the Supreme Court of New Zealand and the Privy Council.
A seasoned advocate, Justin regularly appears in the District Court in trial and sentencing matters. He also conducts appeals in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Owing to his broad experience and academic background, Justin provides sound advice and effective representation for clients.
Justin earned a Bachelor of Laws (with First Class Honours), University of Canterbury and a Master of Laws (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Justin is a member of the Criminal Bar Association of New Zealand, Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa, and Auckland Rainbow Law.
